Vietnam issues silver coins to celebrate DPRK-USA Summit

The Vietnam Stamp Company on February 27 issued 300 commemorative silver coins to welcome the second DPRK-USA Summit.

Hundreds of people queued in front of the stamp company from early morning to wait for the issuance of the coin. Each person was allowed to buy one coin only. Everyone wants to own a coin as souvenir.

The commemorative coins are designed with two faces, one with the image of a dove - the symbol of peace, an olive branch and the flags of the DPRK and the US, and the other with the image of a lotus and the date of the summit. The coins cost 500,000 VND (around 21 USD) each.

On February 26, the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issued a special stamp set to welcome the DPRK–USA Hanoi Summit Vietnam.

After one day, nearly 800,000 stamp sets have been sold.-VNA
