A programme to promote connectivity between Vietnamese and Japanese businesses operating in the mechanical engineering, food processing, woodworks, plastics and real estate fields was launched in Ho Chi Minh City on November 6.

Organised by the municipal Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) in conjunction with the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) and the Japan Business Association in Ho Chi Minh City (JBAH), the event attracted a great number of enterprises from the two countries.

Pho Nam Phuong, ITPC Director, said the event creates a good chance for both sides’ businesses to seek new partners and foster exchanges of delegations to make marketing and investment environment research.

Isao Obayashi, JBAH General Secretary, noted the programme helps Vietnamese firms who seek to improve the quality of their products and sharpen their competitiveness to penetrate the Japanese market.-VNA
