Vietnam-Japan technological park operational in HCM City

The first phase of the Vie-Pan Techno Park (Vietnam-Japan technological park) was officially inaugurated in Ho Chi Minh City on December 5.
The first phase of the Vie-Pan Techno Park (Vietnam-Japan technologicalpark) was officially inaugurated in Ho Chi Minh City on December 5.

Construction of the park, which covers 13 hectares of land in HiepPhuoc Industrial Zone, started in February this year with a totalinvestment of 31 million USD, with the aim to serve Japanese small- andmedium-sized enterprises investing in the city.

The first phasehas built more than 14,100 sq.m of workshops and offices for rent on 3ha at an investment of 7.6 million USD.

According to theBoard of Management of Export Processing Zones – HCMC (Hepza), eightJapanese enterprises have registered their projects in the IndustrialPark. Two of them have been granted licence.

ViceChairman of HCM City People’s Committee Tat Thanh Cang emphasised theimportance of the project, adding that it will create a premise fordeveloping the supporting industry in the city.

Also on theoccasion, a Kansai Desk was set up to serve as a bridge between thecity’s agencies and the Kinki industrial zone in Japan’s Kansairegion.-VNA

DNA testing capacity expanded to identify over 207,000 martyrs’ remains

By September 2026, Steering Committee 515 had collected samples from the remains of 207,656 martyrs, achieving 98.15% of the goal. Nearly 120,000 samples have been received and preserved. Additionally, authorities gathered 265,761 DNA samples from martyrs’ relatives, with about 100,000 analysed and around 80,000 results entered into the database.
