Vietnam joins international fairs in Indonesia

More than 1,000 businesses from various countries, including Vietnam , take part in the 12 th International Exhibition on Food and Beverage and the 13 th International Food, Pharmaceutical , Cosmetic Processing and Packaging Exhibition that opened in Jakarta on November 21.
More than 1,000 businesses from various countries, including Vietnam ,take part in the 12 th International Exhibition on Food and Beverageand the 13 th International Food, Pharmaceutical , Cosmetic Processingand Packaging Exhibition that opened in Jakarta on November 21.

The four-day event is jointly organised by KristaMediaExhibition Company and Indonesia ’s Ministries of Trade,Agriculture, Sea and Fisheries and other related agencies.

According to the organisation board, this year’s event has seen asurge in the number of firms participating. It allows businesses tointroduce their products, share experiences and seek partners.

The focus of the event is to introduce more products to the Islamiccommunity, and increase the use of new technologies and machines inproduct processing and packaging.

A series of conferences will also take place within the framework of the exhibitions.

Vu Kim Hanh, Director of Vietnam’s Business Studies and AssistanceCentre, who fronts the Vietnamese firms at the exhibitions, said theevent paves the way for high-quality Vietnamese products to enter theIndonesian market with a population of about 240 million.

The primary goals for Vietnamese firms are to study the market andfind partners to increase their participation in following exhibitions.

The price of E5 RON92 petrol is now capped at 19,462 VND (0.75 USD) per litre, up 199 VND from the previous adjustment, while RON95-III costs no more than 19,967 VND per litre, up 269 VND.

Vietnam ready to further open market for US exports: Minister

Regarding the ongoing negotiations on a Reciprocal Trade Agreement between the two countries, he emphasised that Vietnam remains consistent in its approach to the talks with the US, aiming for a bilateral agreement based on respect for sovereignty, independence, political system, harmonisation and balance of interests, as well as in line with international commitments and the development level of each country.

Of the vehicles sold, there were 20,014 passenger cars, 8,983 commercial units, and 213 special-purpose vehicles. While passenger car sales dipped 3.6% from the previous month, commercial vehicles surged 4% and specialised ones climbed 6%.
