Vietnam, Laos hold friendly exchange in Japan

The embassies of Vietnam and Laos in Japan held a people-to-people exchange programme in Tokyo on August 10 to mark the 55th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties and 40 years since the Treaty on Amity and Cooperation was signed.

Tokyo (VNA) – The embassies ofVietnam and Laos in Japan held a people-to-people exchange programme in Tokyoon August 10 to mark the 55th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic tiesand 40 years since the Treaty on Amity and Cooperation was signed.

Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Cuonghighlighted the close friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.

In Japan, the bilateral tie were illustrated throughclose coordination between the two embassies, he said, hoping the relationswill continue to grow stronger through effective cooperation between theirrepresentative offices.

Lao Ambassador Viroth Sundara said the exchangehelped strengthen the two nations’ friendship.

Various activities were held during the event,including traditional art and cultural performances and table tenniscompetitions.-VNA

Top Vietnamese leader meets Russian Communist Party chief
