ViceChairperson of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong made the statementat the 6 th annual conference of parliaments’ women leaders that tookplace in Berne , Switzerland for the first time on July 16.

The heath care sector has developed from local to centrallevels over the past decades, said Phong, while affirming Vietnam ’sconsistent policies to develop the economy in line with social equalityand people’s heath care is one of the issues given top priority.

The two-day conference was hosted by the Swiss Parliamentand the International Parliamentary Union (IPU).

The conference that drew the participation of 25 women leaders ofparliaments in Asia, Europe and Africa discussed issues related to theprotection of mothers and infants and the role of parliaments’ leadersas well as women legislators in this issue./.

The dispatch states that in implementing Conclusion No. 18-KL/TW dated April 2, 2026 of the 14th Party Central Committee on the 2026–2030 socio-economic development plan, national finance, public debt management and medium-term public investment, linked to the goal of achieving double-digit economic growth, the Government on April 29 issued 11 resolutions on cutting, decentralising and simplifying administrative procedures, business conditions, and conditional business lines. The Prime Minister subsequently directed ministries, agencies and localities to implement these resolutions.
