Vietnam, Malaysia share anti-corruption experience

Officials from the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission had a working session in Hanoi on April 6 to share experience in combating corruption.
Officials from the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam and the MalaysianAnti-Corruption Commission had a working session in Hanoi on April 6 toshare experience in combating corruption.

The Vietnamesedelegation to the session was headed by Deputy Chief GovernmentInspector Tran Duc Luong while the Malaysian delegation by Director ofthe Commission’s Investigation Division Director Mohd Jamidan Abdullah.

Duringthe event, the two sides informed one another about their inspectionactivities and reviewed their history of cooperation in recent years.

Theyagreed to further exchange experience in anti-corruption and shareinformation, professional documents and other training programmesthrough forums, workshops and conferences.

Public education to raise awareness among the community about corruption will also be a focus.

These efforts are part of a cooperation agreement on anti-corruption measures signed by the two agencies in April 2010.

Accordingly,both countries pledged to share information and their experiencesrelating to corruption, money laundering, economic crime and trade fraudregularly and work together to settle issues.-VNA

Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Tran Thanh Man, his spouse, and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation departed from Hanoi on early April 11 morning to attend the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-152) in Istanbul and conduct a number of bilateral activities in Türkiye, and pay an official visit to Italy from April 11-17.

According to historical records, the area once served as an operational base for units of Regiments 609, 66, 24 and 320, as well as staff and logistics agencies of the Central Highlands front (B3) during the 1966–1969 period. Between 2020 and 2025, the corps had already recovered remains from 46 martyrs in the Chu Pa mountain area.
