Two-way trade between Vietnam and Mexico in 2011 surpassed 1 billion USD for the first time, a year-on-year increase of 14 percent.
The Trade Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico announced on Feb. 16 that Vietnam ’s export turnover to the second-largest country in Latin America reached 973.2 million USD, an increase of 16.4 percent, while import turnover reduced almost 19 percent to 64.1 million USD.
Trade Counsellor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico , Hoang Anh Dung, said that Vietnam ’s exports to Mexico have increased each year in conformity with the economic development and trade exchange policies of Mexico .
