Vietnam neither joined nor sent observers to the 2011 Cobra Gold military exercise in Thailand.
Vietnam neither joined nor sent observers to the 2011 Cobra Goldmilitary exercise in Thailand, a spokesman for the Defence Ministryhas affirmed.

The spokesman, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tuan, onFeb. 10 reiterated that Vietnam has pursued a consistent policy of“not joining any military alliance”.

The Cobra Gold drill has been held bilaterally by the US and Thailand since 1982./.
