With import and export values hitting nearly 39 billion USD and over 45 billion USD in 2021 respectively, the northern province of Bac Ninh posted a trade surplus of more than 6.4 billion USD, said the provincial statistics department at its meeting on December 28.
Vietnam enjoyed a trade surplus of 4 billion USD in 2021, marking the 6th consecutive year in a row the country's export turnover is higher than its import revenue, General Director of the General Statistics Office (GSO) Nguyen Thi Huong said on December 29.
With its import and export values growing 14.7 and 13.5 percent year-on-year to hit 24.6 and 31.5 billion USD in 2021, respectively, the southern province of Binh Duong recorded a trade surplus at 6.8 billion USD.
Trade between Vietnam and the UK reached over 6 billion USD as of November 2021, up 17 percent year on year, with Vietnam enjoying surplus of 4.46 billion USD, the General Department of Vietnam Customs reported.
