Vietnam rank 134th in FIFA ranking

The men's football team of Vietnam stood at the 134th place in the FIFA ranking in August, said the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) on August 11.

Hanoi (VNA) - The men's football team of Vietnam stoodat the 134th place in the FIFA ranking in August, said the Vietnam FootballFederation (VFF) on August 11.

As the team did not compete in any important matches included inFIFA scoring system last month, it fell one place behind.  

With 231 points, the team remained at 22nd place in Asia andthird in Southeast Asia.

The Philippines led Southeast Asia, followed by Thailand, Myanmarand Malaysia.

[Vietnam climbs five spots in FIFA rankings]

The U22 football team have arrived inMalaysia to participate the SEA Games 29.

The Vietnamese delegation with 476 athleteswill compete in 32 out of 38 events. It has set the target to obtain 49-59 goldmedals and be among the top group at the games.-VNA
