American journalist, Stanley Karnow, most know for his book “Vietnam: a history” and his journalism award- Pulitzer, died of congestive heart failure on January 27 at his house in Potomac, Maryland, at the age of 87, according to news reports.
During his carrier life, he worked many years aboard for the Time magazine. He was the first journalist who had reported on the first two American soldiers death in Vietnam , not suspecting that ten-thousands of American soldiers would follow.
Furthermore, he is a critic on the Vietnam war and his name used to be listed in the US President Richard M.Nixon’s “enemies list”.
