The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (KBIZ) has pledged to support Vietnam’s economy as well as enhance cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of the two countries, ensuring mutual benefit.
KBIZ Chairman Kim Ki-m un was speaking at a meeting with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in Hanoi on September 9 within the framework of RoK President Park Geun-hye’s visit from September 7-11.
The meeting offered a chance for Vietnamese and RoK businesses to exchange and update information on policies of support for SMEs of the two countries.
Addressing the function, VCCI Chairman Vu Tien Loc stressed the importance of SMEs in economic development and the need to strengthen cooperation with a focus on high-tech and value-added products as well as develop the support industries between the two countries.
He said he hopes the two sides will hold policy dialogues and the VCCI and KBIZ will act as a bridge to connect the two business communities.
On this occasion, the two organisations signed a cooperation agreement, which will act as a legal framework and offer a chance to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, investment and support industries as well as facilitate SMEs in the coming time.-VNA
