Vietnam wants the Supreme Court of the Republic of Korea (RoK) to continue to share experience and provide assistance to the country’s court sector in the coming time.
President Truong Tan Sang made the statement while receiving a delegation of the RoK’s Supreme Court, led by Court Administration Minister and Supreme Court Justice Cha Han Sung in Hanoi on July 18.
He expressed his pleasure at the fine development of Vietnam-RoK ties, affirming that cooperation between the two court sectors has helped deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Vietnam will do its best to strengthen cooperation with RoK, Sang said, adding that the start of negotiations for a free trade agreement will be a driving force for trade relations between the two countries.
Members of the RoK delegation said they hope the two countries will continue to increase ties in all sectors to make their strategic partnership practical, effective and intensive.
Earlier, at their talks, leaders of Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam and the RoK Supreme Court expressed their expectation for legal cooperation between the two bodies on the basis of mutual understanding and respect in the future.
Both Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court Truong Hoa Binh and the RoK’s Court Administration Minister and Supreme Court Justice Cha Han Sung said they hope that the two bodies will also continue to strengthen their relationship.
Binh said the visit by Justice Cha Han Sung will make remarkable contributions to further boosting friendship between the two supreme courts in particular and the two countries, in general, especially on the occasion of the Vietnam-RoK Friendship Year 2012.
He also spoke highly of the RoK Supreme Court’s support for the renovation and development of the Vietnamese court sector over the past time.
