The procuracy agency of Vietnam has reached agreement with its Russian counterpart on cooperation in legal research and law building.
This is one of the results of a visit to Russia on Nov. 7-8 by Prosecutor General Nguyen Hoa Binh and a delegation of the Supreme People’s Procuracy.
During talks with Russian Deputy Prosecutor General Alexander Zvyagintsev, Binh noted that law making is a key content in bilateral cooperation as Vietnam plans to revise several important laws in 2013.
The two sides will also continue working together to combat trans-national crimes, and train personnel for the Vietnamese side.
To further tighten cooperative ties, the Russian Prosecutor General will pay a working visit to Vietnam next year.
Both sides also pledged to protect the legitimate rights of Vietnamese citizens in Russia as well as Russian citizens in Vietnam.
Russia , as a member of the International Association of Prosecutors’ Executive Committee, said it backs Vietnam’s bid to join the association’s forum.
