Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang has highlighted the significance and key outcomes of the 25th meeting of the Vietnam-Russia Inter-Governmental Committee for Economic-Trade and Scientific-Technological Cooperation co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Chernyshenko in Moscow.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired a meeting of the Vietnam-Russia Inter-Governmental Committee on Economic-Trade and Scientific-Technological Cooperation in Hanoi on December 12.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on April 6 received Russian Deputy PM Dmitry Chernyshenko, who is in Vietnam for an official visit and to co-chair the 24th session of the Vietnam-Russia Inter-governmental Committee for economic, trade and scientific-technical cooperation.

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung had working sessions with representatives of Vietnamese and Russian ministries and departments in Moscow on May 23 to discuss activities to celebrate the Vietnam Year in Russia and vice versa.

Vietnam and Russian should continue making greater efforts and creating favourable conditions for the comprehensive development of bilateral economic cooperation as the recent growth has not matched their potential and expectations, said Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung.
