Vietnam sends congratulations on Lao party’s anniversary

The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee on March 22 extended a message of congratulations to the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) on its 55th founding anniversary.

“As closecomrade and friend, the CPV and Vietnamese people highly value and warmlycongratulate the great and comprehensive achievements of the Lao people duringtheir renewal process,” said the message.

The CPV Central Committeeexpressed firm belief that under the leadership of the LPRP, the Lao people willmove forward towards new and greater achievements as well as successfullyimplementing the Resolution of the LPRP’s 8th Congress and building asocialist-oriented country of peace, independence, democracy, unification andprosperity.

“We expressed our delights at the continuously developingtraditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation betweenthe two Parties, two States and two peoples,” according to the message.

The relationship, fostered by President Ho Chi Minh and PresidentKaysone Phomvihane, and tempered by efforts and sacrifices of many generationsof Vietnamese and Lao people, has become a model for international relations andis a priceless asset for the two nations, as well as a decisive factor in thesuccess of each country’s revolutionary cause.

The CPV Central Committeeexpressed the wish that the traditional friendship, special solidarity andcomprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and two peopleswill develop continuously and eternally./.

Senior military, public security officers promoted to higher ranks
