The 2014 Vietnam-Singapore Business Forum kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City on June 4, providing updated information for the two countries’ enterprises.

The Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Doan Duy Khuong, said that the annual event has contributed to further deepening the bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore, as well as connecting more businesses.

Edlyn Khoo, Director of the International Enterprises (IE) Singapore’s Ho Chi Minh Centre, said that Vietnam is enjoying strong economic development with a large number of labourers and abundant natural resources.

However, to attract more Singaporean and foreign investors, she suggested that the country needs to ensure a stable and safe business environment.

This year’s three-day forum focuses on the fields of financial services, tourism, agro-fishery-forestry production and processing, and real estate investment.

In addition, it also offers a chance for participating enterprises to showcase their products and services.-VNA
