The Vietnamese national football team have maintained their leading position in Southeast Asia, according to the July FIFA world rankings.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnamese national football team have maintained theirleading position in Southeast Asia, according to the July FIFA world rankings.

Vietnamare in the 94th position in the world and 14th in Asia with 1,258 points.

Thailand, worldNo 113, are second in the region with 1,178 points, followed by the Philippines(world No 124), Myanmar (No 136) and Malaysia (No 154).

Dueto the COVID-19 pandemic halting international football, it's no surprise thatthe latest rankings have seen little change.

Japanlead Asia with the 28th place in the world and 1,500 points. They are followedby Iran, the Republic of Korea, Australia, and Asian Cup holders Qatar.

Basedon the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, FIFA's internationalcompetition activities are expected to restart from October./.
