Seoul (VNA) – Vietnam’s taekwondo team won the first gold medal at the 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships in the Republic of Korea during their first day of competition on September 1.
Chau Tuyet Van, Nguyen Thi Le Kim and Nguyen Thi Mong Quynh overcame the host country’s athletes to take the gold in the women’s team event.
Tran Dang Khoa is competing in the men’s single event on September 2, while Chau Tuyen Van and Hua Van Huy will be tested in the mixed doubles.
The Vietnamese taekwondo team comprises five members.-VNA
