A delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) led by Deputy Permanent President Nguyen Hoa Binh is making a working visit to Laos, beginning on Aug. 22.
On Aug. 24, the delegation exchanged experiences in trade union work with more than 200 Lao participants.
At the exchange, Binh delivered a speech on the role of Vietnam trade unions in the revolutionary cause and the Vietnam-Laos relations, focusing on friendship and cooperation between the VGCL and the Lao Trade Union Central Committee.
The Vietnamese delegation had a working session with the Lao Trade Union Central Committee to review their cooperation and work out plans until 2012.
The two sides agreed to continue to carry out annual high-level meetings and the exchange of delegations and cooperation between provinces sharing the common border.
On this occasion, the delegation visited some economic establishments in Vientiane and some localities./.
