Efforts topromote collaboration in science and technology will be carried outwithin three years as backed by the two nations, said Le Thanh Binh,Deputy Chief of the Department of International Cooperation under theMinistry of Science and Technology.
He said that the two pledged to build five joint research studies with great societal impact.
FirstSecretary of the British Embassy in Vietnam Andrew Holt affirmed thatwith its significant expertise in infectious diseases, the UK is willingto share experience with Vietnamese specialists and researchers.
LouisaRahemtulla from the British Embassy in Hanoi underscored that theworkshop is an opportunity to bring international experience to Vietnamand promote the two countries’ integration.
She added thatinfectious diseases are a major concern for both parties, elevating theneed to discuss ways to support each other while conducting relevantresearch studies.-VNA
