Vietnam will create all possible conditions to facilitate Japan’s investment, affirmed President Truong Tan Sang when receiving a delegation from the Japan-Vietnam Economic Committee under the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) in Hanoi on December 9.
The State leader spoke highly of the committee’s contributions to fostering the two countries’ relations as well as connecting their enterprises, hoping for more Japanese investment inflows into Vietnam in 2015.
Informing the guests of the construction of the Vietnam-Japan University, he suggested Japan increase official development assistance (ODA) in education, open more training facilities and speed up technology transfer.
Briefing the host on the outcomes of the working session between the delegation and the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the committee’s Co-Chairmen Takahashi Kyohei and Nakamura Kuniharu said that both sides were satisfied with the sixth stage of the Vietnam-Japan Joint Initiative.
Thanks to policy dialogues, Japanese businesses have firm confidence on Vietnam’s investment climate, they said, affirming their determination to step up cooperation programmes in the time to come.
They also talked about the prospects for collaboration in agriculture and tuna fishing, and proposed Vietnam intensify connectivity to ship high-quality products abroad.-VNA
