Six Vietnamese students brought home gold medals from the Asia-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (APMOPS 2015) held recently in Singapore.
The gold medallists—Le Quang Huy, Ngo Le Bach, Tran Dinh Quan, Truong Tuan Nghia, Le Tran Cong Hung and Nguyen Manh Quan—are among ten candidates from the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted who competed at the event.
Last year, Vietnam claimed three gold medals at the prestigious contest, held annually by the Hwa Chong Academy in Singapore for the sixth and seventh graders from the Asia-Pacific region.
A total of 264 candidates from 14 Asia-Pacific countries participated in the 2015 event.-VNA
