Vietnamese Ambassador to the Republic of Korea (RoK) Pham Tien Van has been awarded with the RoK’s Order of Diplomatic Service Merit, Gwanghwa Medal.
The honour was presented by RoK’s Ambassador to Vietnam Park Suk-hwan in Hanoi on June 4.
Addressing the awarding ceremony, Ambassador Park Suk-hwan said the medal is the noblest out of top five awards in the diplomatic decoration system adopted by the RoK’s government.
It has been presented to ambassadors with significant diplomatic contributions to developing friendship between nations, he said, highlighting the Vietnamese ambassador’s great contributions to boosting the relationship between the two countries to the level of strategic cooperative partnership.
For his part, ambassador Van expressed his honour when receiving the noble prize and his hope for further contributions to the bilateral ties./.
