Vietnam’s top badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh will compete in the Yonex French Open 2017, which begins today in Paris.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam’s top badminton player NguyenTien Minh will compete in the Yonex French Open 2017, which begins today inParis.

Olympian Minh is world No 65, forcing him to enter the qualifying round.

There are 16 players competing in the qualifying round, withthe top four entering the main draw.

Minh will face Mark Caljouw of the Netherlands, world No 45today.
If Minh wins, he will meet the winner of the match betweenKenta Nishimoto of Japan and Ygor Coelho of Brazil.

The event, which runs until October 29, will have a totalprize fund of 325,000 USD.-VNA
