Talking about Ha Noi street food, we can’t help mentioning the famous baguette. Baguette is the second most famous dish, following “Pho” (soup), that foreign tourists want to try when visiting Viet Nam.

Vietnamese baguette has different fillings, including basic fillings such as pate, egg, Chinese sausages and meat. The baguette attracts people because of not only its beautiful looking but also its special taste.

That is its hot and crunchy bread in combination with delicious filling of meat and fresh green vegetables or salad. Herbs, cucumbers and barbecue pork or salted shredded meat all make the baguette become perfect. Being simple but harmonised in every detail is a unique feature of Vietnamese food that attracts many foreigners.

Baguette has different styles due to its varieties of fillings. Sai Gon baguette is often filled with sweet barbecue pork; Da Nang baguette is filled with aromatic fried fish chop; and Ha Noi baguette is filled with pate and pork paste. In cold weather, people often drink a hot tea while eating a baguette filled with grilled meat skewers.

Baguette is a popular dish with affordable price. It can be found in every street of Ha Noi. Thus, it is the most popular and easily-found fast food.

Time can change but the Vietnamese baguette remains a favourite street food of Vietnamese people and has gradually become a favourite food for food lovers from all over the world./.
