Twenty-two Vietnamese businesses participated in a food and beverage trade fair in Paris from October 17-21.
The Vietnamese products showcased at the fair included processed foods, aquatic products and packaged fruit and vegetables, of which pepper and cashew nuts were a focus of attention.
Nguyen Van Thang, Director of Vietnam’s Trade Promotion Centre for Agricuture (Agritrade), said that the number of Vietnamese products on display at the 22 stands was twice as many as last year.
The trade fair offered Vietnamese businesses the opportunity to seek out new partners in the hope of expanding their operations in agro-forestry and seafood production, as well as processed products for export. Several of the businesses agreed and signed contracts worth 6-7 million USD, according to the participants./.
