Vietnamese community supports storm victims

Vietnamese community in Thailand has donated over 300,000 bath (nearly 10,000 USD) to aid typhoon Ketsana victims in the central and Central Highlands regions.

Diplomats and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand, which launched the fund raising campaign from Oct. 9-20, contributed at least one-working day’s salary to support families of the victims.

The Overseas Vietnamese Association in Denmark has raised 28,600 Korona (or 5,300 USD) to help the people in the central and Central Highlands to recover from typhoon damage.

The association will continue to call for more support from the Vietnamese community in the country for those affected by the flood./.
