Algiers (VNA) – An exhibition showcasing paintings by a Vietnamese artist isbeing organised for the first time in Algeria from May 13-14 by the VietnameseEmbassy in the country in collaboration with the Algerian Ministry of Culture.
The exhibition is one of the activities held in the framework of the culturalexchange and cooperation programme between Vietnam and Algeria.
Oil painting works by Vietnamese painter Nguyen Minh Son displayed at theexhibition help introduce natural landscapes across Vietnam to local viewers,including those spotlighting the beauty of Hoi An ancient city in central QuangNam province, Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh northeastern province, and Sword Lakein capital city of Hanoi.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Pham Quoc Tru highlighted thesignificance of the event, saying that it aims to promote the painting art of Vietnam,especially modern paintings.
The activity is hoped to help locals get insights into Vietnam’s culture andpeople, thus contributing to enhancing the Vietnam-Algeria relationship and thefriendship between the Vietnamese and Algerian people, he stressed.–VNA
