Brussels (VNA) – Dille & Kamille eco-friendlyfurniture shop in Brussels is full of products made from natural materials suchas bamboo and rattan directly imported from Vietnam.

Schor Annie, a regular customer of the store, said she is verypleased to find a foldable, environmental-friendly and beautiful sedge basketthat can be used as a decorative for indoor plants, and is foldable whenit is out of use.

Mollière, another shopper, chose a toy made of bamboo rootas a Christmas gift for her grandson.

Nathan Frenkel and his wife are interested kitchen tools and some householditems such as trash bins and laundry baskets, all of which are made in Vietnam,as well as a star for Christmas tree decorations.

Thierry Arend, the manager of the shop, said that children's toys made byVietnamese craftsmen from bamboo roots or indoor bonsai baskets made of bambooare among best sellers at the shop.

Arend said that during their trip to Vietnam to sign thecontract to import the products, leaders of Dille & Kamille visited productionfacilities and realised that Vietnamese products have a high quality and meet thecompany’s standards of sustainability and friendly to the environment.

So far, Vietnamese handicraft products have been availablein 163 countries and territories. The EU is currently the third largest marketof the products after the US and Japan.

With a rising trend of sustainable consumption andenvironmental protection in the globe, Vietnam's bamboo and rattan products areeying great potential in the European market./.
