New Delhi (VNA) – A delegation of Vietnamese businesses isattending the Bihar Business Connect 2023, held in the Indian state of the same name on December13-14.

This is the first time Bihar has organisedsuch a large-scale trade and investment promotion event which offers a chancefor enterprises to meet, exchange information, and seek cooperation opportunitiesin the fields of agriculture, food processing, information technology,electronics, garment and textiles, tourism, and services.

At a discussion session on textiles, footwearand processed foods, Bui Trung Thuong, Vietnamese Trade Counselor in India,discussed opportunities for trade and investment cooperation between Vietnameselocalities and the Indian state.

According to him, achievements andadvantages of the two sides can help promote bilateral cooperation in all fieldsfrom economics, trade, investment to cultural exchange, tourism and services.Vietnam is ready to exchange cooperation opportunities in the fields oftextiles and agriculture with Bihar state.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese TradeOffice in India supported the Department of Industry and Trade of Vinh Longprovince to popularise its typical products such as fruits, processed food, and OCOP(one commune, one product) products at the event.

Businesses and entrepreneurs in Bihar showedtheir interest in Vietnamese products, and their wish to exchange and explorebusiness investment and cooperation opportunities with businesses in Vietnam ingeneral and Vinh Long in particular./.

Vietnam targets 50 million international visitors by 2030

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has outlined three scenarios for 2027–2030. Under the high-growth scenario, international arrivals would rise 15–18 percent annually to reach 45–50 million, while domestic tourism would reach around 160 million trips.
