Prague (VNA) – The Vietnamese Culturaland Art Association in the Czech Republic have held a gathering at theSapa commercial centre in Prague on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year(Tet) festival.

The highlight of the programme, held on January 8, was an Ao dai(Vietnam’s traditional long dress) show and art performances.  

Hoang Dinh Thang, Chairman of the Union ofVietnamese People Associations in Europe which sponsored the gathering, laudedthe Mrs Ao dai fund in Europe for its contributions to bringing togetherVietnamese across Europe.

Ambassador Thai Xuan Dung saidthe fund has played a role in assisting Vietnamese at home affected by naturaldisasters, as well as the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ambassador expressed his hope that the union and the Vietnamese Association in theCzech Republic will continue their support to the Vietnamese Cultural and ArtAssociation in organising art and cultural activities, helping to preserve andpromote traditional culture. /.
