The Communist Party of India – Marxist ( CPI - M) treasures the relations with the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), said the CPI – M Politburo member Mariam Alexander Baby during his working visit to Vietnam from March 25-31.

Baby praised Vietnam’s renewal (doi moi) process and the role of the CPV and the Vietnamese Government in implementing the process.

He said the cause of renewal has received the support of the people, which is the factor behind its success.

The CPI - M wants to learn from the renewal policies of the CPV, which have contributed greatly to the development of Vietnam, he added.

According to Baby, the current visit of the CPI – M delegation to Vietnam aims at strengthening the traditional friendship ties between the two parties and peoples.

In the coming time, both parties should foster relations through the exchange of delegations, theories and experiences in party building, helping to further strengthen the multifaceted cooperation and strategic partnership between Vietnam and India, he suggested.-VNA
