Vietnamese, Lao border guards engage in friendship exchange

Quang Binh (VNA) – The Border Guard Commandof the central province of Quang Binh organised a Vietnam-Laos friendshipexchange programme at the provincial border guard level on July 14 and 15.

The event is expected to contribute to promoting thegreat friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between thetwo countries’ Parties, States and people, including Vietnam’s Quang Binhprovince and the Lao province of Kham Muon, border residents and border guards,said Colonel Trinh Thanh Binh, Commander of the Border Guard Command of QuangBinh province.

He described border guards as the bridge betweenall-level Party Committees, authorities and people of Quang Binh and Kham Muonprovinces.

Within the framework of the programme, there were awide range of activities, including a volleyball match, tree planting, scholarshipgranting, and free medical checkups and medicine supply./.

The Deputy PM expressed his hope that Lee will continue to support efforts to further advance Vietnam–Singapore relations in a more practical and effective manner, as well as provide advice and share experience in developing financial centres and promoting connectivity between the two countries’ international financial centres.
