Vietnamese and Lao businesses gathered in Vientiane on November 10 to exchange information on investment environments and strengthen mutual understanding, thus fostering the two countries’ trade relations.
Speaking at the exchange, Lao Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Thongmi Phomvisay applauded Vietnamese enterprises’ good business results in Laos , which have helped develop the country’s infrastructure and improved local living standards.
He expressed his belief that in the future, Vietnamese and Lao businesses will further strengthen the exchange of experiences and information, especially in human resource development.
To date, the Lao government has licensed more than 223 Vietnamese projects with a total investment capital of over 2.4 billion USD, ranking third among countries and territories investing in Laos./.
