The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of northern mountainous Son La province held a friendship festival from September 14-17 with eight north Lao provinces of Houaphan, Luang Prabang, Oudomxay, Bokeo, Phongsaly, Luong Nam Tha, Sayaboury and Xieng Khouang.
The delegates held talks on the role of the youth and youth activities in maintaining and promoting the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos and between Son La and north Lao provinces, with the aim to improve the youths’ understanding of the special relations between the two Parties, States and peoples.
Their presentations focused on boosting exchange activities and diversifying dissemination forms to help each province’s youths understand more about the history and the special friendship and solidarity of the two countries.
Within the framework of the event, an exchange performance also took place, attracting the participation of more than 1,000 young people./.VNA
