Hanoi (VNA) – President Tran Dai Quang on October 3 sent acongratulatory message to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on the 27th anniversary of Germany’s National Day (October 3).

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc also took the occasion to extendcongratulations to his German counterpart Angela Merkel.

The same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham BinhMinh cabled a message of congratulations to German Minister of Foreign AffairsSigmar Gabriel.-VNA

NA Standing Committee discusses continued VAT reduction

The Government proposed a two-percentage-point reduction in VAT - from 10% to 8% - on goods and services currently subject to the 10% rate.
