Rome (VNA) – “Melody of Bamboo” by Vietnamese painter Hoang Dinh, awarded withthe “Giulio Cesare: Art Emperor” prize by the magazine Art InternationalContemporary, has been on display at Velli Palace in Rome, Italy.
Dinh saidthe impressionist-style painting is inspired by rows of bamboos, boats, andrivers which are emblematic of the Vietnamese countryside. Apart from itpredominantly green colour, it is also dotted with yellow, brown, orange, andred lines.
Overcomingnearly 1,000 entries worldwide, “Melody of Bamboo” has touched the heart ofpainting lovers worldwide and received one of the prestigious 90 prizes.
Expertssaid that they could feel the various dimensions of space, sound, and motioncaptured in the painting. The piece is due to be displayed at a exhibition of SomsakChaituch, a Dutch painter of Thai descent, at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum onOctober 28.-VNA
Vietnam’s paintings introduced in UK
The Vietnamese Embassy in the UK and the Oc Eo Art Gallery ,
which specialises in Vietnamese painting and Asian fine art, opened an
exhibition showcasing paintings that depict the beauty of Vietnam’s
land and people in London on June 20.
