Vietnamese pork aspic, pork rind soup among world's best dishes

The food website Taste Atlas recently ranked Vietnam's thit dong (Vietnamese pork aspic) 44th and canh bong (pork rind soup) 60th on its list of the 86 best mushroom dishes worldwide.

Taste Atlas described thit dong as a dish typically associated with northern Vietnam, often enjoyed during Vietnamese New Year.

It’s best served with pickled onions and a bowl of rice.

The article also highlighted canh bong as a traditional Vietnamese soup, mainly made with pork rind, and especially popular in Hanoi during Lunar New Year (Tet).
