Hanoi (VNA) – Four Vietnamese startups in the fields of electric vehicles,energy efficiency, smart agriculture and circular economy will introduce their innovativesolutions at the AsiaBerlin Submit 2021.
In the framework of the summit, the“Green Tech Made in Vietnam” event themed “Connecting Berlin and Vietnam – Findingopportunities” is set to take place on October 8.
Itwill be jointly held by the Vietnam National Innovation Centre (NIC) at theMinistry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam, the Digital Transformation CentreVietnam of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and an agencyfor economics, energy and entrepreneurs of Germany.
Accordingto a GIZ representative, the event will promote startups with green technology whichhelps Vietnam adapt to and mitigate impacts of climate change and preservenatural resources.
WiiBikeelectric bicycle manufacturer, whose vision is to develop zero-emissions vehiclesin Vietnam’s hubs by 2030, will be the first one to deliver its presentation,followed by energy efficiency in Internet of Things (IoT) solution provider IoTeamVN.

Thenext presentation will be by Plastic People specialising in turning plasticwaste into useful products; and Hachi which applies IoT in smart farming.
TheAsiaBerlin Summit 2021 will take place in a hybrid format witha huge number of online and offline attendees from October 4-10.
Entrepreneursand the investor community from Asia and Berlin, Germany will join forces totalk about the internationalisation of startups across sectors such asUrbanTech, HealthTech, FinTech, industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, andBlockchain./.

Government proposes 2-pp VAT reduction on select goods and services until 2026

A 2-percentage-point reduction in the value-added tax (VAT) for goods and services will lead to a decrease in state revenue by approximately 121.74 trillion VND (over 4.69 billion USD) over the proposed period. This includes an estimated 39.54 trillion VND in the second half of 2025 and 82.2 trillion VND in 2026.

Petrol prices up in latest adjustment

E5 RON92 petrol is now capped at 19,180 VND (0.74 USD) per litre, up 403 VND from the previous adjustment, while RON95-III petrol costs 19,594 VND per litre, up 415 VND.

Abolishing presumptive tax ensures greater fairness and transparency: experts

Under the Politburo's Resolution 68-NQ/TW, the presumptive tax model is to be completely phased out by 2026.
