On the last day of thecompetition, Vien came first after clocking 1:58:64 in the women’s200-yard butterfly event. She later pocketed a silver in the women’s200-yard backstroke after finishing at 1:58:40.
The 17-year-old Olympian on March 2 topped the women’s 500-metre eventwith a time of 4:44:37 seconds and then grabbed a silver in the200-yard individual medley.
The day before, thethree-time SEA Games champion triumphed in the 200-yard freestyle with atime of 1:47:34 and the 400-yard individual medley at 4:08:21.
The Can Tho-born swimmer is getting intensive training in the US inpreparation for the 17th Asian Games to be held in the Republic ofKorea in September. She is expected to win a gold medal for Vietnam atthis event.-VNA
