Vietnamese tennis star moves up in ATP rankings

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam’s top tennis player Ly Hoang Nam rose 51steps to world No 425 in the latest ATP rankings on November 5.

It is the highest ranking ever for the southern province of Tay Ninh-bornplayer or for any Vietnamese ace.

Nam recently earned three runner-up spots and one championship in the men’ssingles and doubles of the Vietnam F4 and F5 Futures – Hai Dang Cup 2018 in thesouthern province of Tay Ninh, triumphing in the doubles of the former event.

In the doubles category, Nam also moved up 187 steps to No 602.

Nam is expected to rank in the top 400 next week.-VNA
