Tay Ninh (VNA) – Vietnam’s top tennis player Ly Hoang Nam finished secondat the Vietnam F5 Futures-Hai Dang Cup 2018 held in the southern province ofTay Ninh on November 4.

Nam, world’s No. 503, lost to Roman Safiullin of Russia, world’s No. 301, 7-5,7-6 and 6-4 in the men’s single event. With the championship title, RomanSafiullin pocketed 3,600 USD.

Last week, Nam also missed the men’s singles title following a loss to theRussian at the Vietnam F4 Futures-Hai Dang Cup 2018.

The F4 and F5 Futures-Hai Dang Cup 2018 was jointly organised by Hai Dang JointStock Company and Tay Ninh province’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourismfrom October 20 to November 4.

The events drew the participation of nearly 100 male players from 16 countriesand territories worldwide, including France, Germany, India, Japan, NewZealand, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan(China), the United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, Venezuela and Vietnam. -VNA
