Hanoi (VNA) - Lai Gia Thanh brought home one gold and two silver medals at the ongoing IWFJunior World Championships in Japan.

Thanh won a gold medal in theclean and jerk category with his achievement of 140kg. In the snatch, he lifted109kg to gain a silver medal.

In the total lift, he took asilver medal for 249kg. Wang Hao of China won a gold medal with 258kg andHiroyuki Mashiko of Japan tookthe bronze with 244kg.

A total of 265 (108 women and 157men) athletes from 50 countries took part in the competition.-VNA
