Vietnam’s football team to compete in Thailand’s King’s Cup

Vietnam’s national football team will compete in the 2019 King’s Cup international tournament in Thailand in June at the invitation of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT).

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam’s nationalfootball team will compete in the 2019 King’s Cup international tournament inThailand in June at the invitation of the Football Association of Thailand(FAT).

The event is scheduled to take place from June 5to 8 with the participation of Vietnam, China, India and hosts Thailand,according to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

It is considered a warm-up for coach Park Hang-seo’splayers ahead of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers this September.

The four participating teams will be drawn intotwo games, with the winners of each game advancing to the final. The two losingteams will vie for the third place.

Vietnam finished as runners-up at the King’s Cupin 2006, after losing 1-3 to Thailand in the final.-VNA

Hot-air balloon festival opens in Binh Thuan
