Tokyo (VNA) – Vietnam’s CMC Corporation, one of the leading informationand communications technology (ICT) groups in Vietnam, opened its subsidiary inYokohama city of Kanagawa prefecture on November 7.

This move isa result of the “Select Kanagawa 100” initiative, which aims at inviting 100 foreignenterprises to invest in Kanagawa prefecture.

Speaking atthe inauguration ceremony, Yuji Kuroiwa, Governor of Kanagawa, said that theprefecture organised investment promotion seminars in Hanoi in January and Julyin order to call for investments from Vietnamese businesses.

Theprefecture worked with the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) to assistthe CMC Corporation in opening its subsidiary in Japan.

Arepresentative from the CMC Corporation said that CMC Japan is located inYokohama of Kanagawa prefecture as the locality has a lot of preferentialpolicies supporting newly-established companies like CMC Japan.

The companywill work to provide high-quality software engineers as well as comprehensiveIT services for consumers in Japan, the representative confirmed.-VNA
