– Vietnamese nationalfootballers and their head coach Park Hang-seo arrived at Indonesia’s NgurahRai International Airport on October 11 to prepare for a World Cup 2020qualifier match against the hosts.

Theywere welcomed at the airport by Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Pham Vinh Quangand his spouse, the Vietnamese Embassy’s staff and representatives of theVietnamese community in the country.

Vinhcongratulated the Vietnamese team and Park on their fresh victory over Malaysia,and expressed his hope that they will reap more achievements, especially in thematch against Indonesia at Kapten I Wayan Dipta Stadium on October 15.

The whole country and the Vietnamese community in Indonesia always give thewholehearted support to the team, he said.

While in Indonesia, the Vietnamese players will stay at Wyndham Tamansari JivvaResort, Bali, about 30km from the airport.

At a working session on October 9 with the Vietnamese ambassador, Indonesian policesaid they have prepared methods to ensure security for the upcoming match aswell as Vietnamese and Indonesian teams, and guest fans.

Vietnam beat Malaysia 1-0 in the World Cup 2022’s second qualifying round atthe Hanoi-based My Dinh National Stadium on October 10.

The only goal was scored by striker Nguyen Quang Hai in the 28th minute.

This was Vietnam’s first home win inthe World Cup 2022 qualifiers after their earlier draw with Thailand./.
