A seminar on trade promotion between the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) and Belgium’s Wallonia region took place on December 12 in Namur province as part of the national trade promotion programme between Vietnam and Belgium.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium Pham Sanh Chau, Governor of Namur province Denis Mathen and over 30 representatives from Vietnamese and Belgian firms attended the seminar.
Addressing the event, Chau stressed Namur is among the provinces that has a special relationship with Vietnam. The seminar will positively contribute to the visit Namur firms will make to Vietnam next March, he said.
Mathen said the Vietnamese delegation’s visit symbolises a new step in relations between Vietnam and Belgium, and Namur in particular.
He affirmed his determination to set up the ‘Welcome Office’ project that will help Vietnamese enterprises penetrate markets in Belgium and Europe .
