Viettel customers in Cameroon hits 2 million

Nexttel, a brand of the military-run telecommunications group Viettel, has increased its Cameroonian users to 2 million after 9 months in the Western African market.
Nexttel, a brand of the military-run telecommunications group Viettel,has increased its Cameroonian users to 2 million after 9 months in theWestern African market.

With over 1,100 base transceiver stations(BTS), Nexttel has provided 2G coverage for 70 percent of Cameroonresidents. The south eastern telecom operator is also topping 3Gservices in Cameroon.

By the end of May, the group had raked in 29 million USD from the Cameroon market.

Todate, Viettel has conducted business in nine countries of Asia, LatinAmerica and Africa, bringing in 1.2 billion USD in revenue in 2014, ayearly increase of 25 percent.-VNA

Government proposes 2-pp VAT reduction on select goods and services until 2026

A 2-percentage-point reduction in the value-added tax (VAT) for goods and services will lead to a decrease in state revenue by approximately 121.74 trillion VND (over 4.69 billion USD) over the proposed period.
